The Week of 1.27.18

https://youtu.be/nhHsfypR8Sk

Friday Dad and the kids took advantage of warm temps to walk to Dad's halfway to summer staff party. This was Charlie's first wagon ride. Saturday we ventured to the Kickapoo Valley Reserve to see some ice damns and experience our local driftless gem for the first time. It also generated some excitement to paddle the Kickapoo this summer. Sunday Lucy and I did some impromptu skiing, her first of the winter. She has gotten a lot stronger and more coordinated since last winer. Creighton, Kerrys coworker's 9 week old Doberman Pincher came over for a visit.

Motorcycle Rally and Copland Splash Pad

Lucy loved seeing the motorcycles while she wore headphones. The cyclists waved to her frequently and she waved back. At the splash pad, Lucy wouldn't go through the loops with the water going. Next year?  She enjoyed sprinkler running rhis summer.

Wildlife

The first week of summer I transplanted about 100 ferns from Harned's to Bliss. While inspecting plants I nearly pet this mother racoon on the butt. Needless to say, I got out of there. The next morning Trent and I rode past this massive turtle.
